Cerebus #195
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePart of the long-running "Mothers & Daughters" arc, this June 1995 issue of Cerebus presents one of the more quietly striking covers Dave Sim and Gerhard produced together: a gloved hand raising a foamy glass of beer against a vast, star-filled cosmos — an oddly meditative image that hints at the grand and the mundane colliding in equal measure. The "Cerebus World Tour" sidebar, spotlighting a Manchester, Vermont stop on July 1, 1995, gives the issue a lively real-world dimension alongside ads for fellow Aardvark-Vanaheim titles Tyrant and Rare Bit Fiends. With Sim and Gerhard sharing both penciling and inking duties on "Minds Part 9," this is the kind of self-published, creator-owned comics craftsmanship that made Cerebus such a distinctive presence in the mid-nineties.
