Part five of "Minds" arrives in this February 1995 installment of Cerebus: Mothers & Daughters, and the cover — rendered by Dave Sim and Gerhard — makes an immediate impression: the small, solitary figure of Cerebus stands atop a pale pedestal against a vast, Jupiter-like planet filling the sky, the sheer scale of the cosmic backdrop dwarfing the aardvark completely. It's a quietly striking image that captures the sense of an enormously consequential moment for a very small creature in a very large universe.
