Cerebus #165
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis December 1992 installment of Cerebus: Mothers & Daughters presents a striking collage-style cover by Dave Sim and Gerhard, assembling two haunting faces — a wild-haired, shadowy figure and a more realistically rendered human visage — alongside fragments of stained glass, decorative friezes, a chalice, a key, and other evocative objects against a deep black field. The mixed-media arrangement gives the whole thing an almost dreamlike, unsettling gravity that feels perfectly suited to the "Women 3" chapter of this ambitious long-form saga. It's a visually layered entry in one of alternative comics' most dedicated ongoing works.
