“The Crimson Crusade”

In "The Crimson Crusade," Captain America confronts a wave of violent deaths in the criminal underworld, discovering the lifeless bodies of Crossbones and Mother Night—apparently slain by the mysterious Scourge. With the Red Skull’s influence still looming and his next move targeting Viper’s release, the stakes rise as Cap races to uncover who’s pulling the strings. Written by Mark Gruenwald and illustrated by Rik Levins, with inks by Bud LaRosa and colors by Renee Witterstaetter and Marie Javins, the issue’s cover by Rik Levins and Bud LaRosa captures the tension of a world where old enemies may not be as dead as they seem.
