Battleaxe
Battleaxe is a Marvel Comics fighter who debuted in the pages of Captain America, operating alongside figures such as Asp, Black Mamba, and Cleopatra Nefertiti. Her specific backstory remains largely undisclosed, but she moves in dangerous company within Captain America's world.
Battleaxe crashed onto the Marvel scene in 1991, courtesy of writer Mark Gruenwald and artist Larry Alexander, landing her debut in the pages of Captain America #389 — one of the most storied titles in the House of Ideas. A Copper Age creation, she runs in formidable company, sharing adventures with the likes of Captain America himself, Asp, Black Mamba, and the enigmatic Cleopatra Nefertiti. A card-carrying Avenger with a compact but punchy presence across the early '90s, Battleaxe is a rewarding dig for collectors who love unearthing the bold, battle-ready characters that made that era crackle with energy.
