Cable and Deadpool make for one of Marvel's most unlikely duos, and this fourth chapter of "If Looks Could Kill" captures their uneasy dynamic beautifully — Cable looming large with his glowing eye and massive cybernetic frame while a crouching, red-suited Deadpool brandishes a blade in the foreground. Rob Liefeld's cover art brings a kinetic intensity to both figures, set against a gritty industrial backdrop that suits these two volatile personalities perfectly. With Fabian Nicieza and Patrick Zircher driving the story, issue #4 is a compelling installment in this 2004 series that proved the odd-couple pairing of mutant messiah and mercenary had serious staying power.
