That wascally rabbit has the right idea — on this April–May 1956 Dell cover by Tony Strobl, Bugs Bunny lounges in a hammock under a blazing sun, coolly sipping a cold drink through a straw while fanning himself with a folding fan, the picture of breezy contentment. Water drips from the hammock onto the flowers below, suggesting Bugs has been making himself very comfortable. It's a cheerful, sun-soaked snapshot of the world's most self-satisfied rabbit, and the interior promises more mischief with the story "The Ship Sinkers.
