Dr. Warren Whitcomb, Sunnydale's most famous entomologist is abducted from his lab. Xander, Anya, Willow, Tara, Buffy and Spike rendezvous at Giles' place and come up with a plan to combat the giant insects. Spike realizes the infection devices used by the giant bugs contain magic stones, and so he splits up from the group. Using a fully transformed Forrest to lead them to the insects' lair, the group is soon surrounded by a swarm of insects.
