Buffy the Vampire Slayer #32
"Invasion" delivers a tense, insect-infested escalation in Buffy the Vampire Slayer #32, as the town of Sunnydale reels from a bizarre plague of giant bugs. With Forrest now infected and turning strange, Giles and Rebecca stumble upon Warren Whitcomb at a librarian mixer—only to be ambushed by a twisted version of their friend. Meanwhile, Willow, Tara, Xander, and Anya scramble for answers, while Buffy patrols with an unexpected ally: Spike. Written by Tom Fassbender and Jim Pascoe, with dynamic art by Cliff Richards and inks by Joe Pimentel, this 2001 Dark Horse issue blends creeping dread with the series' signature mix of supernatural chaos and character-driven stakes. The cover, penciled by Richards and inked by P. Craig Russell, captures the creeping horror perfectly.
