Bloodstone #3

Elsa Bloodstone takes center stage on this cover by Mike Lopez — blue eyes fierce, blonde hair whipping, both hands locked around a raised pistol as she stares down whatever's coming her way. Flanking her in ornate golden medallions are a pair of Egyptian-styled figures alongside what appear to be monstrous, undead faces, all framed within an Art Nouveau-inspired border adorned with ankhs and scarab beetles that gives the whole design a pulpy, adventure-serial feel. With Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning scripting and the story titled "Like Life, Only Colder," issue #3 promises the kind of monster-hunting atmosphere this striking cover delivers in spades.
