Black Fury #4

Black Fury demonstrates his supernatural abilities by galloping through a mystical fog to help his rider Chief cut off outlaws, completing tricks on command to assist in their pursuit. The story concludes with Black Fury and Chief hunting outlaws together, as the animal is praised for his understanding and wild nature. The issue also includes the story "Save a Soul," in which Mrs. Ada Shaw seeks Sheriff Geary's help to save her son Bob from joining outlaw Marc Curtis's gang, and Sheriff Dan Geary enlists the famous Prince Albert Kid to attempt to redirect the wayward youth toward law-abiding citizenship through an expedition into hill country. A third story, "Bing and Bong," depicts two cowboys attempting to raid a ranch, planning to eat the food they find and watch for the owners' return.
