Hopalong Cassidy #49

The issue contains two stories. "Whitey Whiskers—The Great Shakeup" features a troublesome cow that kicks and won't cooperate, leading a cowboy named Shore to offer five dollars to anyone who can milk her; Hopalong Cassidy eventually solves the problem by placing a weight on the cow's back to keep her still. "Spiked Guns" follows Hopalong as he encounters Jim Mason's wife, who sends her boy Billy to stay with Cassidy because the child has become wild and unmanageable; Cassidy takes the troubled youth under his wing to straighten him out.
