“Final Reckonings”

In "Final Reckonings," Bishop—now host to the parasitic Mountjoy—races against time to reclaim his body and stop the villain from jumping between X-Men, each transfer threatening to unravel the team. Written by John Ostrander and brought to life by Carlos Pacheco’s dynamic art and Cam Smith’s sharp inks, this pivotal issue forces Bishop to confront a brutal choice: fulfill his duty as a soldier of the XSE or uphold the ideals of the X-Men. The cover by Carlos Pacheco and Cam Smith captures the tension with a striking, high-stakes image.

Mountjoy has possessed Bishop and makes his way back to X-Mansion in our heroes body. Mountjoy jumps from X-Man to X-Man while Bishop pursues him and tries to stop the villain without hurting his friends. Bishop has to choose between killing Mountjoy as is his duty as a soldier of the XSE or remaining a member of the X-Men and taking him down in a less lethal manner.
