Who is Shard?

Shard is Bishop's younger sister, raised alongside him in a brutal future timeline defined by mutant persecution. Surviving the harsh internment camps of that era forged her into a capable combatant, and her story eventually intersected with the X-Men of the present day.

Born into the pages of Uncanny X-Men Annual #17 in 1993, Shard is a Marvel creation of the Copper/Modern Age, brought to life by Scott Lobdell and Jason Pearson. With nearly two decades of appearances stretching from 1993 to 2012, she carved out a lasting niche in Marvel's mythology β€” most prominently across the Bishop and Bishop: The Last X-Man series, where she shares the page with Lucas Bishop, Trevor Fitzroy, and Charles Xavier himself. Her story is compelling enough to have earned at least one key collector-significant issue, and for fans who love the grittier, future-tinged corners of the Marvel universe, Shard is absolutely worth seeking out.
