Betty & Veronica (Jumbo Comics) Double Digest #10
In "Give Me Strength," Betty and Veronica take a bold stand against dating norms by enlisting Dilton as their personal agent to get boys to ask them out—only to find their plan tested by the stubborn schedules of Archie, Reggie, and George, while Jughead sees it as a golden opportunity for free snacks. With Dan DeCarlo's signature charm on both the interior art and the cover (pencils by Dan DeCarlo, inks by Jim DeCarlo), this 1988 Double Digest issue captures the classic Archie energy with a playful twist on teenage romance and independence.

Betty and Veronica lament the fact that girls are expected to wait around for a boy to ask them out. They decide to have Dilton act as their agent to persuade boys to ask them out. He tries to convince them that the girls would be happy with a simple and cheap night of TV and snacks. Archie, Reggie, and George can't be lured away from their sports show plans, but Jughead is only too happy to have an evening of free food.
