A wanted poster takes center stage on this 1983 issue, declaring Archie Andrews a "Notorious Kissing Thief and Love Desperado" — wanted by all the girls of Riverdale — while the freckle-faced redhead strikes a wide-legged outlaw pose in full Western gear, rifle over his shoulder, against a desert backdrop of cacti and red rock. Peeking from the bottom corners are two very interested parties — a dark-haired girl and a blonde — suggesting the competition for Archie's affections is alive and well. Dan DeCarlo's cover art brings its usual breezy charm to the gag, and the tiny costume cameos lining the top of the cover add an extra layer of playful fun.
