Betty and Me #39

This Giant Series issue drops the Riverdale gang right into a diner scene buzzing with early-1970s energy — Archie flashes a peace sign (or is it a request for separate checks?) while Betty, Veronica, and the rest of the crowd react with amusement, all rendered in Dan DeCarlo's clean, expressive pencils with inks by Rudy Lapick. Jughead in the foreground, burger in hand, seems perfectly unbothered by the whole debate. At 25 cents, this oversized package also promises Al Hartley's interior art on "All Washed Up," making it a fun slice of Archie life from 1971.
