Sarge absent-mindedly puts Beetle on the list for promotion to Corporal. For this mistake, Sarge is demoted to private and Beetle runs him ragged. Eventually Capt. Scabbard decides he needs Sarge to keep up with running his office, so he restores him to his old rank.
