Dymphna recruits Orphan, the Getaway Kid and a raccoon named Hoke for help breaking into her former owners' home. They discover Dymphna had earlier conjured a demon to attack the Wise Dogs, but trapped inside the home it had victimized Dymphna's offspring, Rachel and Tansy. Dymphna confronts the Eater of Dreams and tricks it into being destroyed, demolishing the house as it is dragged back to its own realm. Without the demon, Rachel and Tansy die; Orphan, Getaway Kid and Hoke help Dymphna bury them.
