Batman / Superman #4
This volume collects issues #16-20 of the 2016 Batman/Superman series, bringing the World's Finest team into a direct sequel to the classic Kingdom Come storyline. The story sees the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel transported to an alternate future where they must confront an older, more hardened version of their world, with art and writing by Mark Waid and Dan Mora.
In "Superman's Joker," Clark Kent finds himself isolated and vulnerable in the Bahamas, stripped of his powers after using his solar flare to neutralize a deadly cloud of Doomsday mist. With Killer Croc, Bane, Cheshire, and the Man-Bats unleashed by the mind-controlling Phantom King, Clark must rely on his wits and resolve to survive a relentless assault. Written by Greg Pak and illustrated by a rotating team of artists including Tom Derenick, Tyler Kirkham, and Ardian Syaf, this gripping issue blends high-stakes tension with the unique visual flair of its creative team, while Ardian Syaf and Danny Miki deliver a striking cover.
