Batman: Shadow of the Bat #2

Part two of "The Last Arkham" finds Batman in a genuinely dire situation — shackled in chains inside what appears to be a dimly lit, industrial cell, his cape spread wide as he strains forward with unmistakable intensity. Brian Stelfreeze's cover work captures the Dark Knight at his most cornered yet defiant, bathed in eerie blue-green light that gives the whole image a claustrophobic unease perfectly suited to an Arkham-set story. Alan Grant and Norm Breyfogle's four-part saga was already building a strong reputation in 1992, and this second chapter promises the tension is only escalating.
