Part of DC's 2000 "Planet DC" annual initiative, this oversized issue sends Batman across the Atlantic for an adventure rooted in British folklore. Mike Kaluta's cover — pencils and inks both — frames the Dark Knight squaring off against a monstrous, hunched creature identified as the Boggart, the two locked in a tense confrontation atop a globe centered on England, with a Union Jack backdrop and a circle of frightened children looking on from below. With John Ostrander writing and the team of Jim Aparo and Sal Buscema handling interior art, "Lost Boys" promises a moody blend of superhero action and old-world myth.
