After volunteering to become divers to remove explosives underwater at great depths, the Dynamic Duo are unable to properly rise to the surface slowly enough to prevent the bends. So they turn an ordinary submarine into a Bat-Marine and fight the criminal element under Slant Stacy successfully until the master criminal finds a way to get Batman out of the water, hoping he will die from the bends.
