Batman #81

Part 7 of "City of Bane" arrives with a cover that says everything: a massive, armored Bane towers over a shattered clock face, its golden light splintering beneath his grip as Gotham's skyline looms rain-soaked in the background. The "Showdown!" banner at the bottom feels entirely earned — John Romita Jr. and Klaus Janson render the villain with an almost architectural menace, every wrapped muscle and glowing red eye radiating dominance over a city that bears his name. Tom King's 2019 run reaches a pressure-point here, and this cover makes clear the stakes couldn't feel heavier.
