Batman #70 pulls no punches with a cover that says everything about where "The Fall and the Fallen Part I" is headed — a battered, bloodied Dark Knight stretched between ropes, arms forced wide, completely surrounded by a mob of Gotham's most dangerous rogues. Scarecrow perches menacingly above him, Mister Freeze looms at his side, and the Riddler, Killer Croc, and a crowd of familiar villains press in from behind prison bars, making the tagline "Trapped by Madness!" feel entirely earned. Tom King's story is brought to life by artists Mikel Janín and Jorge Fornés, with Andy Kubert delivering this striking, siege-like cover image that frames the Dark Knight at what looks like his most vulnerable.
