Two beloved pop-culture worlds of the 1960s collide as Batman and Robin square off on a giant chessboard alongside the debonair John Steed — bowler hat and umbrella in hand — and the sleek, leather-clad Mrs. Peel, while a mysterious figure sprawls defeated at their feet. Michael Allred's cover composition is a sharp, stylish piece of work, framing these four heroes as human chess pieces with oversized black-and-white squares beneath them and looming game pieces at their backs. Writer Ian Edginton and artist Matthew Dow Smith bring this crossover to life across six issues, with Jordie Bellaire's colors making the whole affair pop with that unmistakable mid-century cool.
