Part of DC's 1991 "War of the Gods" crossover event, this issue drops Batman and Robin into divine territory — and the cover makes clear they're outmatched. Norm Breyfogle's cover depicts a triumphant, toga-clad figure wielding a lightning bolt and raising a glowing orb aloft before a columned temple, flanked by a great winged statue, while both Batman and Robin lie sprawled and defeated at his feet — with a second Batman and Robin watching helplessly from the background.
