The man is imprisoned by a fanatical cult known as the Futurians, who believe themselves to be the next stage of human evolution. As Batman uncovers their twisted beliefs, he must navigate their dangerous game—pretending to be one of them—before their fanaticism turns deadly.

In "Temperature Boiling... and Rising!", a misleading photograph in the newspaper threatens to sway a congressional election, casting doubt on a candidate’s integrity. When Robin uncovers the truth behind the staged image, he must expose the deception before the outcome is sealed.
