Batgirl #48

The cover of Batgirl #48 says it all in three words — "Together Again!" — as Batgirl and a white-haired, fists-clenched Black Canary launch themselves forward against a blazing orange background, both mid-action and radiating serious team energy. Babs Tarr's cover art crackles with kinetic momentum, the two heroes tumbling through debris as though they've just punched their way through something considerably larger than themselves. "Old Friends" is the story title, and this 2016 issue from the Fletcher/Stewart/Tarr creative team looks like exactly the kind of team-up that reminds you why these two belong in each other's orbit.
