B.P.R.D.: Garden of Souls #2
The second chapter of B.P.R.D.: Garden of Souls arrives with a moody, panel-fragmented cover by Mike Mignola that layers a bare-chested, ghostly figure looming beneath a full moon alongside close-up glimpses of a blue-skinned face with glowing eyes, a strange tentacled creature, and an unsettling eye with a yellow iris. That collage of eerie imagery gives the whole thing an atmosphere somewhere between dream and dread — exactly the kind of paranormal unease the Bureau was built to confront. Mike Mignola, John Arcudi, and Guy Davis bring their considerable talents to this 2007 Dark Horse series, and this issue's cover alone makes a compelling case for reading on.
