The recruits continue to train under the guidance of established heroes. Dani agrees to help Trauma with his fear based powers. Hardball meets a mysterious stranger in a bar who seems to know an awful lot about his personal life. Komodo is singled out to take new power inhibiting nanotechnolgy and try and strip Spider-Man and three of his deadly foes of their powers. Spider-Man escapes but the new Scarlet Spiders help take down the trio of villains.
