Avengers Arena #9

Issue nine of Avengers Arena puts the spotlight squarely on Apex, whose green-skinned, cold-eyed presence dominates Dave Johnson's cover as she looms over a small armored figure ensnared in the red threads she manipulates with unsettling calm. The cracked, fiery terrain of Murderworld frames the scene with a sense of barely contained danger, making it clear that the power balance in this corner of the Arena is anything but equal. With Dennis Hopeless writing and Kevin Walker on interior art, "Game On Part 2 of 5" promises to dig deeper into exactly what Apex is capable of.
