Six heroes — Vision, Scarlet Witch, an older swordsman, a skull-masked figure, a dark Spider-Man variant, and Deadpool — are pulled toward a blazing Hydra symbol by glowing, coiling tendrils, suggesting the team is very much in the organization's grip. Alex Ross's painted cover radiates an ominous green energy that makes Hydra feel like a genuine, all-consuming threat. Mark Waid and Mike Del Mundo's 2017 run continues to pair sharp storytelling instincts with striking visuals, and this issue looks like one of its most tension-filled entries yet.
