Archie Spotlight Digest: Archie 75th Anniversary Digest #1
In the 75th Anniversary Digest #1, "Smoke! Gets In Your Eyes!" brings together Riverdale’s favorite misfits in a story written and illustrated by Bob Bolling, with Barry Grossman handling colors and lettering. When a mysterious boy named Odiko—whose super-speed and eerie lack of reflection set him apart—wanders into town, the Good Ol' Gang is both fascinated and unsettled. As tensions rise, Little Archie steps in with a rare moment of empathy, offering a gum ball as a token of friendship in the Hockomock Swamp. Cover by Dan DeCarlo.

After a space vehicle lands on Earth for repairs, a young boy, Odiko, wanders away into Riverdale, where the Good Ol' Gang notices his superhuman speed and asks him to join their baseball team. But most of the gang turns against Odiko when they discover that he has no reflection, although Chuck defends him, arguing that he's a nice kid even if he is different. When Odiko runs away from the angry gang, Little Archie manages to beat him to the Hockomock Swamp and he apologizes to Odiko for the way the gang treated him, and gives him a gum ball as a souvenir of Earth.
