Archie's Pal Jughead Comics #53

Jughead Jones has apparently found himself on babysitting duty, and the cover of this 1994 issue captures the comedic chaos perfectly — a wailing baby in a high chair demanding more as Jughead frantically offers to read the Pop's Chocklit Shoppe dessert menu again. Stan Goldberg's pencils and Mike Esposito's inks bring every panicked expression and flying food morsel to life with that warm, expressive charm the Archie line does so well. With a story title like "A Star Is Diapered! Part I," writer Dan Parent sets up what promises to be a wonderfully silly adventure for Riverdale's most food-obsessed teen.
