Archie's Pal Jughead Comics #135

Jughead stumbles into class with a backpack and a sheepish grin, apologizing to a stern Ms. Grundy for oversleeping — only to walk straight into her perfectly deadpan comeback that he apparently sleeps in class too, much to the amusement of Archie, a blonde classmate, and another student looking on from their desks. Rex W. Lindsey's cover captures the warm, gag-driven humor that makes Riverdale such an endearing place to spend an afternoon. With Craig Boldman's story "Brain Drain" waiting inside, this 2001 issue promises the kind of cheerful, school-day comedy Jughead fans have always counted on.
