The trend spreads fast: Reggie, Betty, and Veronica all try on Jughead’s outfit, and each discovers the same irresistible craving. With Pop Tate’s lunch counter booming, the whole town’s appetite for burgers takes a wild turn—thanks to a single, simple wardrobe choice. Art by Samm Schwartz, with cover by Samm Schwartz.
In "Ask a Foolish Question," Jughead's increasingly odd behavior—wearing a wastebasket on his head, walking a bear, and riding a unicycle—doesn’t go unnoticed by Reggie, who finally calls him out. But when Reggie confronts him, the bear has a surprising reaction of its own.
In "Leave and Let Leave," Jughead and Archie pay a visit to the Old Monsters' Home, only to run into a stubborn guard determined to keep Jughead from leaving. With a mix of quick thinking and classic Archie-style logic, Archie argues that Jughead isn’t an Old Monster—he’s a Young Monster, which somehow makes all the difference.
In "Monster Mania," Jughead’s excitement peaks at the Monster Show, where teens flock for souvenirs from classic Hollywood monsters—only to find him standing alone, seemingly ignored. But Jughead’s not alone: he’s actually getting an autograph from the Invisible Man, much to his delight.
In "Clothes Make the Man," Jughead’s signature style sparks a chain reaction when Betty and Veronica judge him by his clothes—leading Archie to don the same look, only to find himself suddenly obsessed with hamburgers. When Veronica convinces Reggie to borrow Jughead’s outfit, even he can’t resist the craving, and soon Betty and Veronica try on Jughead’s clothes too (in skirts, naturally), discovering the same irresistible hunger. Pop Tate’s lunch counter sees a surprising boom as everyone in Riverdale gets a taste of the trend.
