Miss Grundy introduces Betty to another student named Mildred. Miss Grundy then quietly tells Betty that she'd like her to tutor Mildred, who isn't doing very well this term. Betty asks Mildred if she's the girl who has Ringo's autograph, and Mildred says she is. Betty asks her how she did it, and Mildred says that she sent him a registered letter, and he signed the receipt, which is always returned to the sender. Betty says this is brilliant thinking. Miss Grundy asks how the two are doing, and Betty says they're doing just fine - she's never learned so much in her life.
