“To Have and Too Bold!”

This 1955 issue of Archie delivers the light-hearted charm the series is known for, with cover pencils by Samm Schwartz laying out a delightful four-panel comic strip right on the cover itself. The sequence follows Archie telling Veronica he's read that kissing is unhealthy and has decided to stop — only for the whole resolution to play out in a big, heart-filled "SMACK!" in the bottom panel. It's a warm, playful snapshot of mid-1950s teen humor, and the teased story "To Have and Too Bold!" promises more of the same fun inside.
