Archie and Me #125
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of Archie and Me #125 tells the whole joke in two perfectly timed panels: Archie breezes past a stern Mr. Weatherbee outside the principal's office — a blonde classmate in tow — and cheerfully answers "Not a bit, Mr. Weatherbee!" when asked if he missed school yesterday, only to end up slumped miserably in the Detention Room with the caption declaring it "the wrong answer." Stan Goldberg's cover pencils capture Riverdale's favorite redhead at his most confidently clueless, and the gag lands with the warm, breezy humor that made this series a staple of early-'80s Archie Comics. At just 50 cents, it's a delightful snapshot of the era's all-ages storytelling charm.
