A sunny beach boardwalk sets the scene for this September 1995 issue, where Betty stands in her swimsuit looking surprised as Reggie smugly announces that her automatic camera is "not foolproof after all" — and a mortified, bandage-nosed Archie holds the camera with a length of film spooling out in evidence. Stan Goldberg and Henry Scarpelli deliver a wonderfully expressive cover that captures the Riverdale gang's summer-vacation comedy in full swing. It's a charming slice of classic Archie humor that makes you want to flip right to "Relish the Thought" inside.
