Archie #314 brings the laughs straight from the stage, with a cover by Dan DeCarlo depicting what appears to be an absolutely disastrous school play — Archie, dressed in a dramatic blue cape, is getting an earful from a girl in a red period gown, while up top someone has scattered papers everywhere with a cheerful "Oops!" Meanwhile, in the audience, Veronica and Reggie trade the perfect punchline: "Reggie, I thought you said Archie's play had a happy ending?" — "Yeah! Everybody is happy when it ends!!!" This 1982 issue captures the warm, good-natured chaos that has always made Riverdale such an irresistible place to visit.
