This December 1975 issue of Archie serves up a perfectly timed comedic split: on the phone, Archie earnestly swears to Veronica he doesn't own a little black book — while the bottom panel reveals him grinning over a very thick address book surrounded by photos of Marlene, Cara, Audrey, Liz, Betty, and more. Dan DeCarlo's pencils and Rudy Lapick's inks bring the gag to life with the gang's signature warmth and charm, and the tiny tornado of chaos spinning two figures in the upper corner is a delightful bonus touch. A fun snapshot of Riverdale humor at its most irresistible.
