Arak / Son of Thunder #10
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeArak, Son of Thunder meets classical mythology head-on in this 1982 DC adventure, with the cover blurb promising "Man vs. Myth Atop Mt. Olympus!" Ernie Colón's cover artwork captures Arak locked in fierce hand-to-hand combat with a powerful centaur rearing up against a blue sky, while a minotaur-like figure charges in from the background. With a creative team that includes writer Robert Kanigher and artist Jan Duursema on interiors, this tenth issue looks like a wild ride through ancient legend for DC's axe-wielding Native American hero.

Jon's arm has been re-attached, but it remains lifeless. In despair, he runs from the wise-woman's home and charges a pack of wolves, demanding that they end his now-useless existence. Evor the dwarf tries to rescue him and, touched by the dwarf's courage, Jon defends himself. Once again determined to find his lost sister, Jon, along with Evor and the silent minstrel, stalks into the wilderness. Soon, they find a boy and his pet hawk being tormented by Krogg the Red's minions. After the boy is saved, he insists on joining the motley band, and swears allegiance to Jon.
