This volume collects the first story arc of the 2005 Marvel series, introducing Anya Corazon as the teenage Araña. Gifted with mystical spider-powers by a secret society called the Spider Society, Anya must balance her new responsibilities as a hero with her personal life, including her father Gil Corazon and her mentor Miguel Legar. The arc establishes her early battles against the villainous Vincent and sets the stage for her eventual connection to the larger Spider-Man mythos.
