While Mera works to secure his release, Murk leads a covert mission to the wreckage site, uncovering troubling evidence that implicates Atlantean forces. As tensions rise, a US Recovery team intercepts Murk and his team, setting the stage for a volatile standoff. Meanwhile, Black Jack presses Black Manta to join N.E.M.O., whose ambitions for oceanic supremacy grow ever more dangerous.
