Animal Man #32
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePeter Milligan and Chas Truog were deep in their celebrated run on this title when issue #32 arrived in February 1991, and the cover by Brian Bolland says it all with a wry, deadpan wit: Animal Man — orange-visored and hand-on-chin — sits alongside a contemplative great ape, both of them staring down at a "Pizzarama" take-out box against a chalkboard filled with equations. The story is called "Schrodinger's Pizza," which pairs beautifully with that image of two very different thinkers puzzling over an unopened box — is the pizza hot or not until someone looks inside? It's the kind of quietly absurd, intellectually playful setup that made this era of Animal Man genuinely unlike anything else on the stands.
