Anarky #7

Part of DC's 1999 "Day of Judgment" crossover event, this issue of Anarky drops the red-clad anarchist hero into a wild supernatural battlefield straight from the cover's title promise: "Atop the Haunted Tank!" Norm Breyfogle and Joe Rubinstein deliver a kinetic cover scene with Anarky standing defiantly on a military tank, staff raised, while undead soldiers from multiple eras — Civil War, World War II, and beyond — surge around him in a chaotic, fiery skirmish. The collision of Anarky's bold, modern visual identity against this ghostly army of historical warriors makes for one of the more genuinely inventive cover images in the series.
