Amazing Spider-Man: Blood Hunt #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis middle chapter of the three-issue Blood Hunt tie-in series is the narrative pivot around which Morbius's divided loyalties crystallize: writer Justina Ireland forces the question of whether a Living Vampire who has been willingly collaborating with his captors can still be the key to reversing a vampire apocalypse. The issue also marks the in-continuity canonization of the 'It's Morbin' Time' internet meme — a rare moment where Marvel directly absorbed a piece of online pop-culture mockery into its published text — giving the moment a durably odd footnote in Spider-Man publishing history. For fans of Misty Knight and Colleen Wing, the issue delivers the gut-punch of Colleen's vampirization, raising the stakes for the Daughters of the Dragon beyond mere supporting-cast duty.

The Amazing Spider-Man: Blood Hunt miniseries was commissioned as a direct tie-in to the 2024 Blood Hunt crossover event written by Jed MacKay and illustrated by Pepe Larraz, with the Spider-Man thread spinning out of Amazing Spider-Man #49. Marvel tapped Justina Ireland — a New York Times bestselling novelist best known for the Dread Nation duology and as a lead story architect of Star Wars: The High Republic — to script all three issues, making it one of her most prominent Marvel assignments to date. Marcelo Ferreira handled pencils throughout the miniseries, with Roberto Poggi on inks and Rachelle Rosenberg on colors, under editor Nick Lowe.
