Alpha Flight takes Northstar to a place of old magic to see if they can find a cure for his ailing condition. Little do they know that Loki is lurking around to turn things to his own advantage. The team searches underground for the Fire Fountain but instead end up battling for their lives. Puck is lost as the demon Raazer manifests. Aurora and Northstar discover that they are really elves and leave to be with their people. Loki is called to account for his machinations and is forced to face Raazer. Alpha Flight returns home with three of their members lost.
